Who is YOU for YOU in this one?
YOU RAISE ME UP, translated into German tonight by me. I did not find a German singable version that actually sticks to the wording anywhere on the web so far. If you know one, let me know!
I actually got guided to this song, found it in a situation, when I was just in this situation of the first lines… I felt so grateful, I sat down to translate it to share with German and Russian friends, who speak German but not English. And, of course, with you! I must have heard it before, but never really got the lyrics. The version below has been chosen here for the second verse, the breakthrough story of Susan Boyle is inspiring by itself. I like her raw auditions on the talent show. In Metro Lyrics I found that the song was written by Lovland, Rolf U. / Graham, Brendan / Sand, Amy. Copyright of interpretation and original songtext fully acknowledged.
Because of its power to and its example of how we can guide ourselves from a tense feeling into a relaxed state, it is chosen for the santu switchcraft song portfolio. It is the first song in this collection.
From my heart to yours,
Sandra

You Raise Me Up Songtext
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
There is no life – no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
