See, From My Hands The Tremor´s Left… (mountains + sea version, Jalta film studio 1976)
Vladimir Vyssotski (January 25, 1938 – July 25, 1980)
2nd version-in-progress, translated by Sandra Kampczyk-Januschko, July 24, 2015 for my own healing
1. See, from my hands the tremor´s left,
Now up I go…
The fear fell off into the cleft,
Forever so…
Now up I go, no need to stop,
Might slip, don´t breach,
And in this world there is no top
That´s out of reach…
2. Among the undiscovered paths
Let one be mine…
To self a limit not yet passed
I do assign…
Who didn´t make it to the shore,
God will forgive…
Journeys to take are many more –
and mine´s unique…
3. My ocean´s storming, storming wild
Exposing me…
Names and secrets stay kept tight
Deep down at sea…
I keep focus on my dream
In sacred faith…
Hold purity in high esteem
Pure words, pure depths…
4. After many years I´ll still
Recall the fight
How I managed here to kill
My doubts inside
I heard, the water sang to me
„Good luck, always…“
When was that day, wait, let me see,..
A… , yes, Wednesday…
